THE LONGEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR

During the sixth consecutive solstice performed by the artist, she proposes a single piece at the moment of cycle change. A single work was performed on December 21, 2022, at 10:47 pm at the Latitude and Longitude of LEA, Lab of Experimental Art, Madrid.

And so, this work is anchored in a unique position in the universe. Explained by an astrophysical concept: time is a unique place in the universe, influenced by the rotation of the earth, the movement of the sun in the arms of the Milky Way and our galaxy in the ever-expanding universe.

PROJECT MANIFESTO:

The artist creates her work during astronomical events such as equinoxes, solstices, lunar phases or meteor showers. With the intention of scrutinizing how the movement of celestial bodies influences our essence as human beings and her artistic productivity as a creator. She looks for optimal places and moments for the observation and production of her abstract pieces.

Solsticio de invierno 2022 is a performance that takes place during the night of the Winter solstice.
