AN ANCESTRAL SOLAR SYMBOLOGY
Solar Cycle is a contemporary representation of an ancestral solar symbolism. Based on a stage of the path of the sun to Finisterre, it brings us, from a sanctuary in Lugo (Lugh = Celtic solar god) the solar colors and symbols that predominate in a ritualistic complex of Neolithic origin a few kilometers from this city through which the primal path passes by.
It aims to highlight ancestral rites of solar worship and associate them with contemporary religious traditions.
Sonsoles Masiá has traveled the path and merges her own solar itinerary with the cycling route that her father made during his life.
It is a pilgrimage of duality, of life and death. The Solar Cycle.

EL CAMINO PRIMIGENIO:
El camino Primigenio is a pictorial route, based on the power of contemplation of the landscape and the observation of the universe; following the footsteps marked by our ancestors on an ancestral pilgrimage towards the primeval sunset.
This project aims to connect the traditional Camino de Santiago with an ancestral rite of solar worship, which has been dragging man for millennia to pay homage to the stars on the coast of Finisterre. For centuries there has been nothing more primitive than following the path of the sun, the path of the stars through the Milky Way. A journey towards the encounter with the sacred, to witness the death of the sun in the ocean, thus exploring an ancestral state of consciousness and awakening a primitive instinct remnant of archaic cultures, present in the Jacobean traditions that were inspired by a pre-existing religious background fed with Roman, Celtic and Ligurian elements.

The aim of the present project is to give value to the remote origins of the road and relate the pre-Jacobean tradition through a pictorial route, stopping our steps in places endowed with a special sensitivity. Optimal places for observation which were already used by our ancestors on their particular way of the stars.
